Nokia has recently been licensing its brand to several companies and StreamView GmbH is the latest of them to sign an agreement with them. One of the company’s first products is the Nokia Streaming 8000 set top box, which was manufactured by SEI Robotics and will go on sale this year before Christmas.
The Nokia Streaming Box 8000 is priced at EUR 100 (about Rs. 8,800) and supports Android TV 4K streaming, which has huge apps, including, among others, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
It is possible to order the Nokia Streaming Box 8000 from the official StreamView store and it will be delivered across Europe. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, retail stores are now available for purchase. StreamView is soon going to carry StreamBox 8000 to other nations. The delivery is expected to take 2 to 5 days, while the official sale should start on 14 November, but orders can already be placed.
With dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 support, the Nokia Streaming 8000 comes with multiple interfaces such as USB 3.0 Type-A, USB Type-C, Ethernet, HDMI, optical audio, AV and DC power input, as reported.
Featuring Android 10, the Nokia Streaming Box 8000 supports 4K video resolution and Dolby Digital Plus for sound. It has 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and comes with a good looking layout and a remote that is backlit.
Flipkart, which launched a similar product, the Nokia Media Streamer, in India earlier this year for Rs. 3,499, currently controls the Nokia branding rights for India.
